Who We Are

MIKE

Founder, Veteran REME Soldier, Engineer, Mechanic

Mike is a passionate motorsport enthusiast with a wealth of experience in the industry. He is a veteran REME soldier, engineer, and mechanic to multiple professional race teams, including McLaren Trophy, British GT Cup, and Ginetta GT4 Supercup.

Mike's journey in motorsport began in the British Army, where he served as a REME soldier. In this role, he gained valuable experience in engineering and vehicle maintenance. After leaving the Army, Mike went on to pursue a degree in Motorsport Engineering.

After graduating, Mike began working as a mechanic for various professional race teams. He quickly established himself as a skilled and reliable technician, and he was soon working on some of the most prestigious race cars in the world.

Mike is now the founder of his own motorsport company. He is passionate about helping others to achieve their motorsport goals, and he uses his knowledge and experience to provide a wide range of services, including race team support, vehicle preparation, and driver coaching.

Mike is a highly respected figure in the motorsport community. He is known for his technical expertise, his dedication to his work, and his positive attitude. He is an inspiration to many, and he is a role model for young people who are interested in pursuing a career in motorsport.

 

LYNDSAY

PR Manager, Motorsport Championship Coordinator, TV Presenter, Social Media Executive, Journalist, Motor Trade Specialist

Lyndsay is a highly accomplished and versatile professional with over a decade of experience in both the motor trade and the motorsport industry. She has held a variety of senior roles, including Multiple Motorsport Championship Coordinator, TV Presenter, Social Media Executive, Journalist, and Motor Trade Specialist.

Lyndsay's passion for motorsport began at a young age. She grew up attending races with her family, and she was always fascinated by the speed, excitement, and glamour of the sport. After graduating from university, Lyndsay got involved with assisting race weekends as a weekend coordinator for the BRSCC before becoming a Co-Founder of Close Racing with her husband.

In her early career, Lyndsay gained valuable experience in all aspects of motorsport from hands on experience right through to some unquie oppituinties which found her writing news articles to producing features and interviews. She also developed a strong understanding of the motor trade, after a decde of working her way up thorugh the aftersales enviroments. Lyndsay's skills and expertise soon caught the attention of senior personal to be able to proudly be part of the driving foce behind restructing the Aftersales Enviroment in a leading Motor Trade company in the UK.

Lyndsay is also a talented TV presenter and social media executive. She has hosted a number of motorsport TV shows and shares her life at track, with her following on social media.

In addition to her work in motorsport, Lyndsay is also a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in the industry. She is a founding member of the Women in Motorsport initiative, which aims to support and encourage women to pursue careers in motorsport.

Lyndsay is a role model for many young people who are interested in pursuing a career in motorsport. She is a living example of what can be achieved with hard work, dedication, and a passion for the sport.
